Houston Sisters Come Together To Raise
Breast Cancer Awareness
20% of Proceeds Donated to Susan G. Komen Foundation

Houston, TX – (September 5, 2012) – Victoria Welker, of Tom Magliaro’s Hair Additions, and Jennifer Welker, of Golden Thread, share a passion for raising awareness for Breast Cancer. The sister-in-laws each run separate successful companies in the fashion and beauty industry and have committed to donating 20% of their proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Having seen family members suffer through breast cancer, the Welker sisters were inspired to help women look and feel their best while going through such a traumatic experience.

Victoria Welker is the Director of Operations at Tom Magliaro’s Hair Additions, a non-surgical hair replacement company that has served Houston for over 40 years. Hair Additions provides exceptional remedies for premature hair loss of all types, including hair loss due to medical reasons. The staff is dedicated to eliminating the stress of hair loss and duplicating the memory of the client’s own natural hair. “Our mission is to help them look and feel good while they are undergoing treatment,” Victoria says, “and then work with them on their way back to recovery. Hair Additions will be donating 20% of all proceeds from their medical hair loss line to the Susan G. Komen Foundation through the duration of October.

Jennifer Welker founded Golden Thread, her custom, luxury necklace line, in 2010. Jennifer’s passion for the cause inspired her to design two unique necklaces to raise awareness for breast cancer. Both pieces are crafted with a 14-karat rose gold to represent pink. “We created these pieces with both the traditional and fashionable in mind – customized but with a respected symbol that is worn in a trendy and chic way!” See attached for pictures of the two designs; Sideways Rose Gold Awareness Ribbon and Monogrammed Rose Gold Disc with Diamond. Golden Thread will be donating 20% of all proceeds directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
