Recycling Centers change hours

Beginning Sunday, November 6 the City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department will be changing hours of operation at the six neighborhood depositories (heavy trash & recycling drop-off sites). For the safety of our customers and staff as a result of the end of daylight savings, the locations listed below will be open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, except holidays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing to allow adequate time to unload.

Houston residents may utilize these Solid Waste Management Department neighborhood depository and recycling centers to dispose of their heavy trash:

The sites are also recycling drop-off facilities which accept paper, glass bottles and jars, corrugated cardboard, aluminum and tin cans, and plastics #1-#5 and #7.
