Montgomery County Performing Arts Society is hosting "Bach, Beethoven and Barbecue" on Saturday, March 10, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Crighton Theater in downtown Conroe. The fund-raising gala is being held in conjunction with the 2012 Young Texas Artists Entergy Finalists’ Concert and Awards.

The annual competition recognizes the most gifted young classical artists ages 18 – 32 in Texas. The pre-concert dinner includes barbecue, beer and wine with entertainment provided by the Texas Fiddlers.

The gala will feature a live auction, with one-of-a-kind jewelry from Camillo’s Fine Jewelry up for bid. Master of Ceremonies is Chris Johnson, host of Houston Public Radio and Classical 97.1 FM.

Attire is “Jeans to Jewels,” and guests are welcome to don either casual or formal wear.
