In honor of its 35^th anniversary, The Houston Area Women’s Center will present an engaging drama, Four Songs in the Key of Love, on Saturday, Aug. 4 in the Cullen Theater at the Wortham Center. Showtime is 7:3o p.m.

Written, produced and directed by the award-winning playwright, Thomas Meloncon, exclusively for HAWC, this play addresses breast cancer, sexual assault, domestic violence and AIDS.

This one-night-only performance celebrates the beauty and meaning of womanhood, through dramatic monologues, modern dance, hypnotic songs from great entertainers and compelling original stories. Each riveting character weaves a story of her delicate walk from childhood to womanhood – facing domestic violence, sexual abuse, breast cancer, illicit love and, finally, triumph.
