EVENT Friends of HPL to hold annual Bargain Book Sale March 22-24

The Friends of the Houston Public Library will hold its 35th Annual Bargain Book Sale March 22-24 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Exhibit Hall E. The event is the biggest community book sale in Houston.

More than 60,000 books will be available to the public at "bargain" prices; most books are $2 or less. However, some books will be individually priced higher. 

A preview sale for members of the Friends of the Houston Library is scheduled for Friday, March 22 from 4:30 to 9 p.m. 
Memberships to the Friends of the Houston Public Library are available in advance online or at the door starting at $25. For further information please visit www.friendsofhpl.org.

The sale continues on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Sunday is "Bag Day," which allows customers to fill a bag with books for just $10. The bags are being provided by Fiesta Mart, Inc. 

All proceeds from the sale benefit the Houston Public Library.
